Closets have skeletons.
Marriages have lawyers.
Brothers have keepers.
Coins land heads or tails, and Allan’s perfect girl on his perfect day could ruin his life.

When Allan’s perfect day in the park is interrupted by a chance encounter with a beautiful young woman, his life is instantly ripped open, testing the limits between love, loyalty, family, and unfortunate delusion. Playwright Matt Owen’s break-out new work, THE GIRL IN THE PARK, digs into what we find when we look too close at love.
THE GIRL IN THE PARK marks Matt Owen’s first foray into writing for theater, building on his work as the creative wunderkind behind the cult hit web series EVERY OTHER WEDNESDAY. Director Jesca Prudencio (TRACES OF ERUPTION; assistant to Ping Chong’s THE DEVIL YOU KNOW, among others) leads a talented cast including Tom Patrick Stephens (GABRIEL at Atlantic Theater Co), Christy McIntosh (EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL), Burt Grinstead (Pennsylvania Shakespeare’s JULIUS CAESAR) and Ana Nogueira (THE BOY IN THE BATHROOM at NYMF). The design team includes John Jalandoni (Scenic), Jennifer Fisher (Costumes), T. Rick Hayashi (Lighting), Yusuke Namiki (Sound) and Kate Freer (Projections).
